BEFORE BOOKING
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
It’s easy.
Fill out our contact form.
we’ll reply by email.
If you’d like to go ahead, it’s a £250 booking fee to secure the date.
we’ll send you a short agreement to sign – once that’s done, you’re officially booked in.
From there:
6 weeks before: We’ll arrange a video call to finalise timings and details.
WHAT’S THE DEPOSIT AND WHEN IS THE BALANCE DUE?
Booking fee: £250 (paid when booking)
Balance: Due no later than 1 month before your wedding date.
I HATE BEING IN FRONT OF CAMERAS, WHY WOULD I HAVE A VIDEO?
SO DO WE! I’m not sure there’s many people in the world who like being filmed or photographed! Theres a few things we say to people who dislike cameras ‘in their face’…
we are not an ‘in your face’ videographers. we simply document from afar.
There’s no difference between being photographed and videoed - except for maybe a tiny microphone clipped onto you for your speech.
Believe it or not your wedding day isn’t just about you! It’s about your guests, your venue, the outfits, the flowers - everything! Your films will not be 10 whole minutes worth of just you. It will capture natural emotions and memories of you as a couple and everything else happening on your day.
We don’t ask you to do anything on your day other than enjoy yourself (and maybe go slow walking down the aisle!) so you often don’t even realise that we’re there. So many of our reviews comment on how we’re ‘more like a guest’ and ‘we barley realised you were there!’
WHY SHOULD WE HIRE A VIDEOGRAPHER?
Of course, we are a little biased – but we honestly believe that having your wedding day filmed will be one of the best decisions you make. It’s a lifetime investment. The people who mean the most to you, their voices, their laughter, their reactions – all preserved forever. You’ll be able to relive the happiest day of your life not just with your new husband or wife, but with friends, family, and even future generations. It’s a priceless family heirloom.
Once the day is over, you’re left with three things: your memories, your photos, and your videos.
We hear from couples who consider asking a friend or family member to film on a phone or GoPro to save money. The problem is, it puts pressure on them, means they can’t truly enjoy the day with you, and often results in footage that’s low quality or staged rather than natural. A dedicated videographer team with professional equipment will always capture your wedding more beautifully and unobtrusively than a guest ever could.
We invest heavily in high-quality professional video and audio gear, so your films look and sound incredible. Once the big day is done, we put just as much care into the edit – often working solidly for over a week to create films you’ll treasure.
DO YOU OFFER A DISCOUNT FOR SHORTER OR TWILIGHT WEDDINGS?
I’m afraid we don't. We keep things simple with one clear flat rate. Whether your day starts early or late, we still film all the key moments from prep into the evening.
TRAVEL
DO YOU TRAVEL OUTSIDE DERBYSHIRE?
Yes – We film weddings all over the UK and beyond.
DO YOU CHARGE FOR TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION?
Travel is included for weddings in the East Midlands.
For weddings further afield, we’ll provide a tailored quote that may include travel or accommodation depending on the location and timings.
We always give you a clear, all-inclusive price before booking - no hidden extras later.
THE VIDEOS
WHAT VIDEOS DO WE GET AS PART OF YOUR PACKAGE?
You’ll receive a collection of films that cover both the main moments and the atmosphere of the day.
This includes:
Highlight Film
A 4–6 minute film telling the story of your day in a polished, easy-to-watch edit.Full Ceremony Film
Your complete ceremony, filmed in full with professional audio.Full Speeches Film
Every speech captured in full with professional audio.Extended Documentary Edit
A longer edit made up of real moments from across the day, giving you more of the atmosphere, reactions, conversations and in-between moments that cannot all fit into the highlight film.
WHAT IS THE EXTENDED DOCUMENTARY EDIT?
The Documentary Edit is a longer, more natural edit made from all the usable clips captured throughout the wedding day.
Unlike the highlight film, this is not a polished short film. It is a chronological edit, usually built on one long timeline, using the usable footage from across the day.
It gives you more of the real wedding day as it happened - morning prep, guest arrivals, reactions, conversations, reception moments, evening atmosphere and the natural in-between clips.
Depending on how much footage there is, it may be delivered as one long film or broken up into separate sections, such as morning prep, pre-ceremony, post-ceremony, reception and evening.
This does not include every single camera file, test shot, duplicate or unusable clip, but it does include the usable footage that helps you relive the day properly.
WHAT’S THE HIGHLIGHT FILM?
The Highlight Film is a 4–6 minute wedding film that brings the day together in a polished, emotional and easy-to-watch edit.
It is built from the strongest moments of the day, the emotion, voices, reactions, details, atmosphere and natural interactions - shaped into a film you can watch, share and come back to for years.
DO YOU USE A DRONE?
Yes – if weather, location, and permissions allow. We’ll always try to get aerial shots of your venue and surroundings. If we can’t fly on the day, we’ll focus on extra ground coverage instead.
ON THE BIG DAY
WHEN WILL YOU ARRIVE?
We normally arrive about 2 hours before the ceremony – plenty of time to capture the morning prep and details.
DO WE NEED TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A MEAL?
Not required, but much appreciated. If no meal is provided, we may need to pop out for food, which could mean we are away for a short while.
CAN YOU FILM BOTH OF US GETTING READY?
Yes, where timings and locations allow.
Every wedding is filmed by both Aaron and Becky as standard, so we can usually cover both sides of the morning. If you are getting ready in different locations, we’ll go through the timings before the day and work out the best way to cover both without rushing or missing key moments.
The closer the locations are, the easier this is. If travel would affect the coverage, we’ll be honest with you and help plan around it.
WHEN WILL YOU LEAVE?
We usually stay until around 30 minutes after the first dance – enough time to capture plenty of fun evening shots and the atmosphere of the party, without filming too many late-night antics you might not want on camera.
AFTER THE WEDDING
DO YOU BACK UP THE FOOTAGE?
Yes – We back up everything to multiple hard drives and the cloud immediately after your wedding.
CAN WE CHOOSE OUR OWN MUSIC?
Because of copyright laws, we can’t use commercial music – but we have access to a huge library of licensed tracks that perfectly fit your day.
WILL WE GET EVERY SINGLE SHOT?
You will receive all the usable footage from the day as part of your Documentary Edit.
This does not mean every single camera file. Some clips may be removed if they are test shots, duplicates, missed-focus clips, accidental recordings, shaky movement or anything unusable.
The Documentary Edit is designed to give you a fuller record of the day without handing over footage that does not add anything useful.
HOW LONG UNTIL WE GET OUR VIDEOS?
Usually within 8–12 weeks, depending on the season and editing queue.
HOW DO WE RECEIVE OUR VIDEOS?
You’ll receive them via an online platform called Gallerio.
CAN WE MAKE OUR OWN COPIES?
Yes – all videos are MP4 files, so you can back them up, share them, and watch them anywhere.
