Hanbury Barns Wedding Videographer
If you’re getting married at Hanbury Barns in Staffordshire and you’re looking for a wedding videographer, this is a venue we know pretty well.
We’ve filmed two weddings here - Charlie & Becky’s, who had their whole wedding day at Hanbury Barns, and Luke & Katie’s, who had a church ceremony before heading over to Hanbury for their reception.
And we’d happily come back again!
Weddings at Hanbury Barns
Hanbury Barns is a lovely countryside wedding venue in Staffordshire, with restored red-brick barns, a courtyard and loads of outdoor space.
One thing we particularly like is that everything feels quite connected.
Once you’re at the venue, you don’t need to spend half the day moving between different places. Guests can head out into the courtyard for drinks, move through for the wedding breakfast and then stay right through into the evening.
It makes the whole day feel really relaxed.
Getting Ready at Hanbury Barns
Neither of the couples we’ve filmed at Hanbury actually got ready at the venue.
Charlie & Becky got ready elsewhere before arriving for their ceremony, while Luke & Katie had a church wedding before heading across to Hanbury afterwards.
Hanbury does now have dedicated dressing spaces available for couples getting ready at the venue, though, which makes it possible to spend even more of your wedding day in one place.
And with two of us filming, if you’re both getting ready at Hanbury, we can split up and capture both sides of the morning before meeting back up for the ceremony.
Getting Married at Hanbury Barns
Charlie & Becky had their ceremony at Hanbury, so we’ve had the chance to film inside the Ceremony Barn.
It’s a really bright space with loads of natural light, exposed beams and plenty of character.
It’s a more intimate space than some of the huge ceremony rooms we’ve filmed in, but that actually gives it a really nice atmosphere when it’s full of your friends and family.
Hanbury also now has an outdoor ceremony option overlooking the lake, so if the Staffordshire weather behaves itself, you’ve got the option of getting married outside too.
Church Weddings & Hanbury Barns Receptions
You don’t have to have your ceremony at Hanbury either.
Luke & Katie chose to have a traditional church ceremony before everyone headed over to Hanbury Barns for the rest of the celebrations.
We film weddings like this all the time, so travelling between the morning prep, church and reception venue isn’t a problem.
We’ll plan everything around your timings beforehand so we know exactly where we both need to be throughout the day.
Couple Shots at Hanbury Barns
There’s plenty of space around Hanbury for photos and video without needing to disappear for ages.
You’ve got the barns themselves, the courtyard, countryside and grounds around the venue, so there’s plenty for us and your photographer to work with.
Our approach to couple shots is pretty simple.
We normally disappear with you and your photographer for around 10–20 minutes, capture what we need and then get you back to your wedding.
No hour-long photoshoot.
No endlessly repeating the same walk for the camera.
Just a bit of time together and then back to your guests.
The Courtyard & Reception
The courtyard is one of our favourite parts of Hanbury.
On a nice day, it’s a great place for everyone to grab a drink, catch up and mingle between the main parts of the wedding.
And from our point of view, that’s normally when loads of the good stuff happens.
We’re looking for people laughing, talking, hugging and generally enjoying themselves rather than constantly asking people to do things for the camera.
That’s a big part of how we film weddings.
Staying at Hanbury Barns
Hanbury also has accommodation on site, including its wedding-night accommodation and guest accommodation.
That’s always a nice option if you’ve got friends and family travelling for the wedding — particularly once the drinks start flowing and nobody has to worry about heading straight off afterwards!
We’ve Filmed at Hanbury Barns Before
Having filmed two completely different weddings here, we’ve experienced Hanbury both as a full wedding venue and as the reception venue following a church ceremony.
We know the layout, we know where we can get some lovely couple shots and, most importantly, we know how to work around the venue without turning your wedding into a film set.
We’re Aaron & Becky, the husband-and-wife team behind One Two One Wedding Films.
We film weddings in a relaxed, natural way and spend most of the day letting you get on with actually enjoying it.
If you’re getting married at Hanbury Barns and that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’d love to hear what you’ve got planned.
