Wedding films at Rushton Hall.
We had the pleasure of filming Matt & Dorothy’s wedding at Rushton Hall. A beautiful old country house, their favourite people and a day full of the good stuff.

Filming at Rushton Hall
Weddings at Rushton Hall
Rushton Hall is a 16th-century country house near Kettering, in Northamptonshire. It’s a hotel as well as a wedding venue, and it only hosts one wedding a day, so the whole place is yours.
From our point of view, that’s a big plus. There’s no other wedding party in the corridors and no sharing the best spots for couple shots. We can concentrate on your wedding and nothing else.
Getting Ready
Rushton Hall has bedrooms on site, so you can spend the morning at the venue if you’d like to. But getting ready at home is fine too. We’ll film wherever you are.
Dorothy got ready at her home nearby, and Matt met us at the church. With two of us filming, we can split up and capture both sides of the morning, wherever they happen, before meeting back up for the ceremony.
The Ceremony
You can have your ceremony and reception at Rushton Hall, but you don’t have to. Matt & Dorothy got married at a little church near their home, between home and Rushton Hall, then everyone headed to the Hall for the reception.
With two of us, we can position cameras to cover the ceremony from different angles without moving around once everyone is seated, whether that’s at the venue or in a church down the road.
The Orangery
The Orangery is the main wedding space at Rushton Hall. It has a stone front, floor-to-ceiling windows, chandeliers and original stone floors, and it holds anywhere from 80 to 280 guests.
Big windows mean lots of natural light, which always helps when we’re filming faces and reactions.
Couple Shots Around Rushton Hall
There’s no shortage of places for couple shots at a house like this. The building itself and the grounds around it give us and your photographer plenty to work with.
Matt & Dorothy’s wedding was in winter, on a very cold day. The grounds were still lovely for walking portraits, and they gave us some great shots.
Our approach is pretty simple. We normally disappear with you and your photographer for around 10 to 20 minutes, capture what we need and then get you back to your wedding. No hour-long photoshoot. Just a bit of time together and then back to your guests.
The Wedding Breakfast & Speeches
Because there are two of us, we can position cameras around the room to capture the person speaking as well as all the reactions happening around them.
And those reactions are often some of our favourite bits. That’s a big part of how we film weddings. We’re looking for people laughing, talking and hugging rather than asking anyone to do things for the camera.
Staying at Rushton Hall
Rushton Hall has guest rooms on site, which is always handy if you’ve got friends and family travelling for the wedding. It’s also only a few minutes from the A14 and within easy reach of the M1, so getting there is easy for most guests.
Getting Married at Rushton Hall?
We’re Aaron & Becky, the husband-and-wife team behind One Two One Wedding Films. Both of us film every wedding in a relaxed, documentary-led way. We don’t want to turn your wedding into a production. We’d much rather let you enjoy it while we quietly capture it.
Our Film package is £2,000 and our Film + Essential Photos package is £2,500. Northamptonshire is part of the East Midlands, so travel to Rushton Hall is included.
If you’re getting married at Rushton Hall and that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’d love to hear what you’ve got planned.
